Turkey: Puppy rescued from 70-metre well and adopted by local fire brigade

A puppy was rescued, Wednesday, after falling into a 70-metre-deep (230 feet) well in the Dereseki neighbourhood in the Beykoz district of Istanbul.

The rescue team succeeded in extracting the puppy, named Kuyu, from the hole by using a mechanical arm developed by students of the Bahcesehir Science and Technology High School. After a three-hour rescue operation, Kuyu was brought to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Animal Hospital for a medical examination.
