The Puppy Bowl is the “cuter, fluffier version of the Super Bowl” and the tradition has been happening for 13 years. Puppy Bowl expert Dave Salmoni says “it’s an alternative viewing to the Super Bowl, not everybody’s a football fan, sometimes the game’s kinda boring. So if you want, if you like puppies, you’re tuning into Animal Planet.” For Puppy Bowl XIII, puppies from 34 different shelters will compete. The Puppy Bowl airs on Animal Planet from 3 to 5 p.m.
