God created all living things. So we should respect each other’s existence. We should also admit the fact that god has given much power and intelligence to his favourite creation, the human being. I think God has done so, to enable human beings to take care of his fellow beings. The power of human beings is proven by the fact that, they can tame and use an animal that is much larger their size. An elephant is the best example. Elephant helps human beings in many ways. We also keep animals as our pets. I have a pet cat, we call her Puffy. We play together. She sits beside my leg whenever I am at home. Our neighbor Divya aunty is also an animal lover. Once, while she was coming back from her work, she saw a lame puppy in front of a newly constructed building. She picked it up and brought home. We both took good care of it, now it’s back to normal and runs around the house. Pets should be given vaccinations on time. It should be kept clean, hence should be bathed daily. We should take care that it doesn’t dine with us. It should be taught that they have their own place to eat and crouch. The selfless love shown by pet animals is incomparable. Human beings also hunt animals and destroy their homes as and when we wish, to meet our own needs and greeds. Killing of animals should be made a serious offence. Forests should not be allowed to be destroyed. If we do not destroy their homes, they would also not harm us. If we give them their space, they will also respect ours. Let it not be in the future that we see animals only in movies or in the computer. Let not our children ask us, “What is a cat?” or “What is a lion?”Animals can be of great importance in the human life. First of all, animals provide humans with food for example cows and chicken. Secondly they can be used for protection for example dogs and also to aid the handicapped. Animals like horses and donkeys are used as a means of transportation and for recreation activities like racing. Lastly, animals can be used as companions to humans. They are known as pets and most people value them so much such that they even end up giving them a respectful burial in a pet cemetery after they die. This forms our discussion for today (Hartsdale Pet Cemetery) which is the final resting place for nearly 70,000 pets including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and even a lion cub (Waldau, 2011).

The early man also did farming by use of oxen. Animals also give companionship to humans and this is very important in the human life. Animals like dogs can also be used to guide the physically challenged like the blind and also the old. This is because they take very little time to learn unlike other animals. In the resent years, new bleeds have been developed and this has enhanced the relationship between animals like and cats and human beings (Beck and Katche, 1984).
Research laboratories uses animals like rats and rabbits to test drugs before giving them to humans. These researches are very important since they can be used to predict any future disease outbreaks and one can be able to protect themselves. Research involving laboratory animals is necessary to ensure and enhance human and animal health and protection of the environment.
