Make sure to be very careful when shaving your dog. Places that are very curvy could get caught in the razor and cause your dog to bleed.
Also, after you have given your dog a bath, make sure you towel dry your dog. Flat-faced dogs like pugs have a very hard time breathing when dried with a blow dryer.
If your dog is scared if the shaver or any aspect of the hair cut, dedicate more time prior to starting this task. Keep treats near by and don’t yell at your dog. You want this to be a good experience so next time will be easier.
