Magician Rich Ferguson created a chest and arm rig that allows him to look and move somewhat normal while having a third arm (his actual) arm free to manipulate the dog puppet. With the addition of some sound effects within the box, people were fairly easily fooled. Once you “get it,” it’s pretty easy to see what’s going on, but casually listening and walking by, people had no clue. In fact, some stopped and asked if it was a robot dog after petting it!
