The Old English Sheepdog, also called the “Bobtail,” has been around for quite a while, tracing its roots back to the early 19th century in England. They were originally bred to herd and protect sheep, and people really admired their independence and resilience in tough weather conditions. One of the most striking features of the Old English Sheepdog is its shaggy, thick double coat. The fur is typically gray or blue, but it can also be gray and white, grizzle, or blue merle. The coat requires regular grooming to prevent matting.
