I regularly change direction on my walks with Bilbo, but when I do this, I don’t say a word as he has learned it is his responsibility to keep an eye on me and always knowing that I decide the direction and pace of our walks together.😊 This action also underlines the position that Bilbo has, of his own free will, elected me to occupy, ie his protector, carer and provider.
