If you have claustrophobia, this rescue is not for you!! We found an open window to a crawlspace that we saw puppies run into. We already had Mom and two puppies safe, so the rescue gods made sure we were in the right place at the right time. Donna says “OK” and just climbs in head-first, no hesitation!
There was not enough room to even be on hands and knees, she had to army crawl under there, and it went so far back. The puppies knew the space well, but we didn’t! Any time they saw our hands or just a shadow of our fingers they would run so fast. The video looks like we had more opportunities than we actually did, and we edited out cuss words, don’t worry!
Donna – you are absolutely fearless! If she knows an animal needs help, her brain just goes on autopilot. We are pleased to tell you that we are very dirty, but we have 6 perfect, chubby babies and one wonderful mama all safe and sound!
