Cavalier Puppies Live: Playing with Young Puppies Never Gets Old

Good afternoon, friends and families! We are going to be bringing the puppers out to play again. Doing this consistently every day helps them learn about routine and how to behave in the house like a pet.

For families, be sure to create your account on our website at https://www.redbarncavaliers.com so that you can chat in the chatrooms and find the forums where we will be sharing more “behind the scenes” photos and videos, as well as it being a general place to update new info. If you are not a family of one of our puppies but would like access to this part of our community, you can gain access by becoming a channel member for as little as 99 cents, here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuYnb5UuQxCOvYb9-TBQxZQ/join

If you are a family in-waiting for our expecting moms, their due dates are coming up quick! We are only 3 weeks away from Remy’s due date. All three moms are doing really well – typical 2nd trimester stuff. 😉

We’ll be on very shortly… see you soon!

With warm hugs and cavalier kisses,
Elisabeth & Drew

Welcome to the Red Barn Cavaliers family home! We invite the families and friends of our puppies ‘into’ our home to watch their puppy thrive and grow. You are viewing some of our current Cavalier puppies. We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, nail trims, socialization, and so much more. For more information about upcoming litters, please visit the ‘Upcoming Litters’ page of our website, www.redbarncavaliers.com. More info about us is further down in description.

We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with a proactive approach that places an emphasis on their psychosocial development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals (also known as ESAs). This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding, so we nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further. We try to answer questions during the live streams – please don’t be afraid to speak up! We may not always be able to answer right away, but often we will go through questions as we are taking care of the puppies.

Another great use for our streams is to leave them on for your dogs at home to give them some company. A lot of people search for things like tv for dogs to watch, and since our streams run for an extended length of time, you know it isn’t going to end for your dog! Let us entertain your dog while you are away!

We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. The timing is important because as they get older, they crawl away from their nest to potty and poop – so we want them to go to the pellets! Using this method, our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own without guidance within about two weeks of practice. By 5 weeks old, they have their potty training down pretty well but still have night time accidents. By about 6-7 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray rather than wet themselves in their sleep (much like human babies!).

We raise our puppies not just in our home, but rather where we are spending most of our time that they are developmentally ready for. Our young puppies, for example, are always located in our master bedroom for 24-hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are always able to hear the puppies’ adorable squeaks, purrs, “barks,” howls, and more, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies starting as early as a week old, and how we nurture their training throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a well-trained puppy to their family.
