バセンジーは、アフリカ・コンゴ共和国原産の猟犬。
何千年も古くから存在していた犬種で、
他の地域との交流がなかったため
純血が続いてきたのでは、と言われています。
吠えない犬、として有名ですが、
遠吠えがまるでヨーデルのようだと言われております。

穏やかですが、好奇心が強くて運動量も多いそう。
また猟犬だったので独立心自立心も強くて
飼い主に従順だそう。←これ、柴犬とか甲斐犬とか日本犬みたいですね♪
スラリとして美しいフォルムの体ですが
