About the Basenji Dog
The Basenji is a primitive or pariah dog breed that evolved as a hunting dog in Africa. He has prick ears, a wrinkled brow, and a tail that wraps over his back, and his coat is short and fine. His behavior has been compared to that of a cat, and he is undoubtedly curious, intelligent, and self-sufficient. Consider whether you would like having a cat before purchasing one. Despite his many excellent qualities, the Basenji is not the breed for everyone.
