Our founder Du Yufeng and our worker Fan passed the Wanyuan submersible bridge where they found a little lonely shadow, a puppy. Du immediately stopped the car and Fan quickly got out to see the puppy.
The baby was cold and scared. Du and Fan looked around the area but there was no sign of a mother dog or any other puppies nearby. Maybe someone dumped the little one?
Another dumping was likely in the case of the rescue the day after. Du and Fan were passing near to the entrance of the toll station when they saw an injured stray dog. This poor elderly dog was very thin and covered in fleas, with lots of fur missing.
Du and Fan took the dog to Doctor Li’s pet hospital to check for anemia and give him a check over. In his eyes are cataracts, maybe his master did not want him anymore and threw him out on to the desolate highway?
Both these dogs are now safe, warm, fed and being cared for at our shelter but we really do need your donations to help us continue to care for all these recent rescues aswell as to keep caring for the hundreds of other dogs and cats at the shelter.
