If you go to Petland, be sure to wash your hands!
UPI reports bacterial infections sickening 39 people have been linked to puppies sold through Petland.
According to the CDC, campylobacter infections have been reported in Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
Most cases in humans occur from eating raw or undercooked chicken, or eating foods that have been cross contaminated by infected poultry.
But humans can get infected from contact with the stool of an infected puppy, too–and most puppies show no symptoms they’re infected.
