We visited a reputable Shiba Inu breeder (AKC breeder of merit ) last weekend. This was the first time we saw so many cute Shiba Inu! They started showing and breeding Shiba Inu since 2003.
Please consider adoption if you want a companion pet. If you are a big Shiba Inu lover like my human, please make sure get your Shiba Inu puppy from a reputable breeder instead of pet stores or backyard breeders. Never buy your fur babies from a pet store. They all come from puppy mills and may have genetic problems.

周末我们去了一家专门培育柴犬的柴犬犬舍。这家犬舍是AKC（美国犬业协会）的breeder of merit（优秀培育者），也是美国柴犬俱乐部的犬舍之一。这家犬舍从事柴犬培育已经十五年，这次我们看到好多漂亮可爱的柴柴，真的好治愈！
如果你也生活在美国，请考虑领养代替购买。如果你像我麻麻一样，是个超级柴犬爱好者，请记住买柴犬也一定要去正规犬舍购买，而不要在宠物店或者后院繁殖者里购买幼犬。美国宠物店的幼犬不但价格昂贵，而且健康也没有保证，最重要的是，这些幼犬的父母都是生活在毫无动物福利的繁殖场（puppymill）。
如果您生活在其他国家，希望您在决定养柴犬前也要做好功课。柴犬不容易训练，需要主人投入很多的爱和耐心去教导。
