We have a Black Lab puppy named Bruin over as a house guest for a few days. It was a great opportunity to teach Bruin the Labrador puppy how to sit calmly at my side. This little puppy has had some Headstart puppy training before at McCann Professional Dog Trainers, but he’s still a little ball of energy and loves to go running wild when he has the opportunity to. I wondered if all Labrador puppies love to swim? Deegan our 11-year-old Black Lab didn’t love the water at first, but it became the most exciting thing in the world over time to her. I wondered if, over a little time Bruin would love going in the water as much as Deegan did? Teaching the Lab puppy to sit was a little easier after both Labs had been out for a little run. It takes some of their energy out, and allows them to have a focused and centered Labrador Retriever brain;)
