Pet Care is a pet awareness initiative by Harwinder Grewal. Who is an owner of Grewal Pet Shop and Farm, Main Road, Adampur. In this video, he tells about play biting habit of newborn puppies in the Hindi language.
Newborn puppies bite because he is getting his new teeth. But don’t worry this is his natural habit. Because he’s getting his new teeth he starts playing with you with his mouth. Which makes you uneasy because of his sharp teeth.
Also please don’t worry about rabies because before 90 days dog’s nails, saliva and teeth are free from rabies. But remember to give him vaccination after 90 days.
To omit his biting buy him some new toys like bones and balls. This will make him play with it so that he never bites you. But first, you have to irritate the dog with the bone and toys. The next time you give it to the dog, it will start biting the bone but not you.
And if it still bites you, you have to scold him with angry eyes.
One other thing to remember that, if he loses some of his teeth while playing with toys, you do not have to worry. Because these are milk teeth and will come back.
