The important to playing correctly and how to stop the unwanted biting behaviour. it’s normal anything cute when you’re probably nibbles and lunges with your hands since your puppy has been exposed to only other puppies in a litter who naturally play with biting and mouthing it would make perfect sense why he would assume that playing with you wouldn’t be different.

Yell or say ouch when he bites too hard and have your hand go limp.

if your dog is biting too hard make a yelping sound or ouch and stop all play and interactions. don’t talk to your dog. Your dog will get bored because you’re not interacting with him and he will stop. only then can you resume play and interactions. this way your dog knows that when he put that much pressure into a bike the human no longer wants to play.

I like to play Simon Says to help with training with dogs and kids. first Simon, an adult, needs to have high value treats then Simon will give a direction for example Pet the dogs tail. as the child pets the dog’s tail Simon gives the high value treats to the dog. we repeat this but with different actions which overtime helps the dog be more comfortable with different kinds of interactions with different people.
