Halo and Shimmer competed in the beginner puppy 4-6 months old class at the AKC show in Blackfoot, Idaho, last weekend. They did pretty good, especially when I only put Shimmer on a lead for the first time the night before. Shimmer won Friday and went on to Best Puppy in Show. After the judge awarded best puppy to the whippet puppy (it won the next day too, so it must have been a great puppy), the judge came up to tell me that he really loved Shimmer and that she almost won. That was really nice of him to tell me. I was really proud of the way both of the kids showed. Halo won the next day for the toy group. I had someone take the video with my phone and it is upside-down, so I need to figure out how to rotate it so I can post it too.
