Nadia Puppies!

On March 18th our family decided to foster a mama Husky and her five (most likely German Shepherd mix) puppies through the AZ Humane Society. We have loved this experience and are so sad to say goodbye, but know that we could never keep them and still be able to continue fostering. I would love to see them go to a good home (and even more, a home near by so I can come visit!). They will be up for adoption around May 2nd.

Nadia was rescued from a home with over 20 other dogs in February. She was very underweight and neglected and very pregnant. She gave birth to five healthy puppies on Feb. 28, 2017. Unfortunately, she became very upset around other dogs after her puppies were born and needed to be fostered in a home without other animals. And we lucked out! She is estimated to be about 5 years old, she is completely potty-trained, and wonderful with kids of all ages. She is low maintenance, rarely barks and was able to be taught commands within about two days (Not to get on furniture, “Sit”, “Lay down”).

All the puppies were raised right in the middle of our home and handled daily by my husband and I and our 11, 9 and 7 year olds. They also spent a week with another family with a 3, 6 and 9 year old. They are definitely puppies and will need help being potty trained but we have started by taking them outside every couple of hours during the day and they do go potty outside. They are estimated to be around 40-60 lbs, full grown.

They will be at the AZ Humane Society’s Sunny Slope Campus. Feel free to contact us for any insight or questions. The puppies will be $600 (includes all shots and fixing) and Nadia will be $450 and should probably be an only dog.
