UNDERWATER PUPPIES

UNDERWATER PUPPIES

SETH CASTEEL    Book Number: 81819    Product format: Hardback

What an amazing book! Dozens of full-page, full-colour photographs of puppies between the ages of twelve weeks to six months, all taken underwater. The author explains, ‘Puppies already know how to swim, even at just a few weeks old. Some are more successful than others, but they all need practice to better understand their physicality, which improves their overall swimming ability.’ The stunning photos depict puppies determinedly dog-paddling through bubbles, doggedly retrieving toys from the bottom of the pool. Floating ears, tails streaming behind, these cute pooches such as Atticus, who is a six-week-old Beagle mix, Monty, a six-month-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel, and the rather maniacal-looking Grits, a yellow Labrador retriever, who is twelve weeks, all seem to be enjoying themselves. Interestingly, all the dogs keep their eyes wide open underwater, apart, possibly, from a gorgeous eight-week-old Shih-Tzu called Douglas whose ears and hair are floating across his vision so it’s hard to tell! All seem to be having great fun as they search for the balls and hoops in the pool, and at the end of the book is a photo of every dog nice and dry so you can see what they really look like! 116pp. Colour illustrations. Remainder mark.
